ROV SuBastian captures rare footage of a glass octopus

Schmidt Ocean Institute researchers had two sightings of a glass octopus (Vitreledonella richardi) near the Phoenix Islands. These transparent cephalopods have very few visible features so are almost invisible in the deep ocean:
