And now for something completely different – a few images from our own ROV adventures:




The CSIRO found two underwater MOUNTAINS off the coast of Narooma, south of Montague Island, earlier this month. The submerged mountains are larger than Mount Gulaga (spiritual home f the Yuin people) and their tops are at depths of ~1500m.

What a concept – pizza delivery by drone! What’s next? Fish finger delivery by ROV? It’ll be interesting to see how they work through the details…
Fantastic that Queensland University of Technology’s ROV has software to identify and target COTS on its own. Will save a lot of commercial divers the risk of a COTS sting and a possible anaphylactic reaction. And it looks like they are using Blue Robotics thrusters:
